Subject: Re: $40M Sprawl

Typical. Like all the new Bucs Stadium deals signed in the Mons
Venus. The public is routinely left out of these entirely. In fact
if you follow a critical issue you will notice that the county
committee meetings are randomly canceled and rescheduled at the last
possible minute precisely to avoid public input entirely. With most
landuse rezoning the "Barbie Doll" permitting staff of the developers
know more about side stepping the regulations and getting things
rezoned and changed than any public citizen could ever figure out.
Remember this is capitalism, the money is what makes the system work -
- the squeaky wheel gets the grease - - which mean the developers and
businesses who profit the most pay an army of staff to guarantee their
subsidies and community support for any new scam they create. lol...
oh another one I remember seeing was the Mass Transit initiatives that
got too expensive because they could only be built through private
lands. Of course all the private lands to be "acquired" were the same
land owners. Oh I'm sorry to be such a critic, but have you ever
taken your Kayak through the newly purchased ELAPP properties. Yes the
state funded environmental lands acquisition program is great . . .
but typically after they agree to purchase miles of sensitive mash
lands from the farmer, the farmer will "harvest" all the cypress
trees. Typical! They are doing the same thing with the old growth
forests in the NW, which I explored in another class study. It's all
about greed!
